Fixed Blade Sailboat Propellers

Conventional cruiser type propellers can cause tremendous drag on sailing boats. For this reason we provide a range of narrow bladed two and three blade sailboat propellers.

Available in left and right hand rotation with a maximum blade width of one quarter of the propeller diameter.

This compromise design technique gives reasonable performance with auxiliary engines under power, while providing reduced drag under sail when compared to a conventional propeller with large blade area

Seahawk has a range of aluminium three blade propellers to suit saildrive units. Designed with large blade area for use on cruising sailboats, where auxiliary power and smoothness are of more importance than maximum sailing speed.

Design Features and Advantages:

• Larger blades than 2 and 3 blade fixed or folding sailboat propellers, providing greater efficiency when driving forward.
• Cast in a corrosion resistant aluminium, significantly reducing the potential problems of corrosion and electrolysis that can occur when a bronze propeller is fitted to an aluminium saildrive unit.
• Feature standard rubber cushion hubs
• Supplied with the Seahawk design shaft nut and locking screw to ensure the propeller never works loose on the shaft.
