Mr Ben Hawke,
I talked with Gary earlier today, so he knows what I am writing to you in this email.
THE PROP WORKS GREAT!
I went down to the boat at daybreak and when I dove under the current was running in the canal where I dock the boat. I noticed that one of the blades was not folded completely closed. Don't know how I did it, but apparently the blade will fit in even if they are off one notch, and function with the gears. when installing the blades, I did what I thought the directions instructed and made sure the blades moved back and forth, BUT (and this is a big but!), I never closed them all the way and looked at them to see that they were symmetrical in the closed position. This was easily corrected this morning and we took the boat out for a seatrial with the Seahawk prop. Passed with flying colors.
It actually outperforms the 2- speed Gori prop in our opinion.
I have attached the seatrial data for your prop and for the Gori "overdrive" prop I removed. I'm sure the numbers will mean more to you than me, but my mechanic (who is Yanmar certified/authorized saw the performance he said the prop is sized as good as you can get it! Gary did a great job on the sizing and expediting.
I want to thank you, Mr. Hawke, and Gary for your EXCELLENT response. I guess what you did is what I expected from a company with your product quality and service reputation. I appreciated the personal interest and involvement that you took in my problem. There aren't many companies around today where the head of the company takes such a serious personal involvement with customer service. I thank you.
And once again, I do apologize for mounting the hoops that you both were obviously prepared to jump through to ensure my satisfaction.
A joyful day (morning) to you, Mr. Hawke, and to you Gary.
SINCERELY,
Bob Buker

The Gori and Seahawk prop tests above were performed by two (2) independent professional marine diesel mechanics from two different service companies. One from Pensacola, one from out-of-town, Destin, FL (authorized Yanmar service dealer). Light meters were used for rpm tests. GPS (Speed Over Ground) readings were used for boat speed.
